Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Here are some questions asked by clients new to my online copywriting, web content writing and Internet marketing consulting services.

1- How Do I Place An Order?

secure payment by PayPal

I use PayPal to accept most payments.
If you're ready to order, please Contact Me.

(Note 1: You can make a credit card payment via Paypal without having a PayPal account.)

(Note 2: For copywriting projects, payment by bank transfer, check and other methods can be negotiated as an alternative to PayPal.)

2- Do You Give Discounts?

3- What are Your Standard Payment Policies?

4- How Do You Work?

- After you brief me on what you want I'll do some research and prepare a quote with an estimated completion date.
- Your brief can be just a single paragraph or even a whole page. (But see section 5 below.)

- Once you place an order I'll prepare a workflow plan and ask for input from you.
- I'll then get to work and send you the final copy by the agreed date.

- For longer projects we'll also set some milestone dates for key stages.
I'll regularly update you via email on the progress of each major stage.

5- What Additional Information Do You Need?

A)- For Standard articles: You provide the article topics and keywords to be included.
(Note that I do NOT 'write' standard articles stuffed with keyword jibberish - any 'on-page' SEO benefit is going to come from articles that naturally include targeted keywords and semantically related keywords with an approx 3-5% density.)

B)- For Premium articles: You provide the site URL, article purpose, target audience and the keywords to be included.

C)- For Reports & Whitepapers: You provide topic details, a typical target reader profile and what the reader should know (or do) after reading the report/whitepaper.

D)- For 'Direct Response' style Web Copywriting: Your brief should include the following information for major copywriting projects:

1 - URLs of your competitors' sales letters / web copy - especially of copy that impresses you.
2 - What's the unique, selling point (USP) of your product/service?

3 - What are the nitty-gritty details that people love about your product/service?
4 - Provide some photos or videos showing your product/service and what it can do.

5 - Provide real testimonials for your product/service - as many as you've got.
6 - Who are your competitors? (Name and URL, where known).

7 - Describe a unique example which shows your product/service delivering results.
8 - State at least 5 specific reasons why you would buy/use your own product/service.

9 - How will prospects find your sales page? (i.e. where/how are you advertising?)
10 - Why should your web prospect order now? (instead of putting it off.)

For best results, additional interviews by phone with selected customers and yourself will probably also be required.

E)- For Email Autoresponder Copywriting Projects: All of the above in 5 D) is important.
In addition, clear answers to these 3 questions are recommended:

1 - What's the goal of your email marketing campaign?
2 - Who are you talking to in each email?
3 - What are you going to do to get the click? (This is mainly the copywriter's call but may also require your input.)

Contact Me to discuss your email copywriting requirements.

F)- For Blog Ghostwriting: A subset of qs 1 - 10 in section 5 D) above will be required.

6- What If I Want Changes?

For Ghostwriting projects: You can request up to two revisions within 5 days of the completed documents being sent to you at no additional charge.

For Copywriting projects: We'll agree this on a case-by-case basis because project deliverables vary from client to client - and the prices involved are usually much larger than those of ghostwriting projects.

(And yes, I do occasionally accept writing projects involving a bit of everything.)

7- Do You Charge Hourly?

No. Once you brief me, I usually quote for an entire project - this makes your budgeting easier.

This is especially true for copywriting projects - we will probably not be a match if you expect hourly rates or per word quotes.

(Although I'm always keen to align what I can realistically offer you with your allocated budget for the project.)

For smaller web-editing tasks, I'll sometimes agree an hourly rate with you in writing, including the number of hours, before I start work.

8- Can You Meet Our Deadlines?

Yes, the workflow plan we agree on will include deadline dates.

9- Can You Write For Our Market?

I specialize in writing for B2C technology markets - but also cover personal development, Internet Marketing, careers/jobs and fitness markets.

If I'm not qualified to meet your requirements I'll say so up front.
