First of all, how does an IT VAR Pre-Sales System Engineer (SE) define content marketing in broad terms?

Sure, to me content marketing is really just marketing that's targeted at a specific audience. That's it - the most general definition I can probably get.
OK. Great.
And do you hear this term used?
I don't. And we deal with a fair amount of vendors. I hear 'marketing' in general used but not necessarily 'content marketing'.
